Technical introduction
Under the action of the strong electric field in the plasma zone, the positive ions of nitrogen and hydrogen bombard the surface of the workpiece at a high speed. The high kinetic energy of the ions is converted into heat energy, which heats the surface of the workpiece to the desired temperature.
Due to the bombardment of the ions, the surface of the workpiece is sputtered by atoms, thereby being purified; at the same time, due to adsorption and diffusion, nitrogen penetrates into the surface of the workpiece to form a nitriding layer.
Compared with gas nitriding, it has the advantages of fast nitriding speed, easy control of the nitriding layer structure, less brittleness, no environmental pollution, energy saving, and less deformation.
